The Farming Legacy

The Farming Legacy

Meet the family behind the farm — and the reason we do this.

Ronnie's Berry Farm is a 30-acre, family-owned and veteran-operated farm in Angier, North Carolina. We're not a warehouse with a logo — we're a family, our hands are in this soil, and every berry you pick and every jar on our shelves comes from land you're welcome to walk.

Our Roots

[Share the founding story here: who started the farm, what year, and what drew the family to this land in Angier. A sentence or two about the early days — the first crops planted, what the place looked like then, and the dream that got it going — makes this come alive.]

What began as [a few acres / a family dream] has grown into three acres of sun-ripened blueberries, a 250-tree pecan orchard, rows of muscadine and scuppernong grapes, and a farm store full of local honey, small-batch jams, and good things made by hand.

The Veteran Behind the Rows

Service shaped how we farm — with discipline, with care for the people around us, and with a belief that the best things are built to last. [Add a personal note: who served, which branch, and how that experience carried over into life on the farm.] That same commitment goes into every season we plant.

Why We Farm

We believe food should be fresh, honest, and traceable — grown close to home, picked at its peak, and sold by the people who raised it. No grocery-store middleman. No mystery miles. Just farm-to-table the way it's supposed to be, for our neighbors and yours.

We also farm with the future in mind. Sustainability and environmental stewardship aren't buzzwords for us — they're how we keep this land healthy enough to hand to the next generation.

More Than a Farm — We Grow Community

Somewhere along the way, we realized our “why” was bigger than the harvest. It was the people. Today the farm is a gathering place: home of the JoCo Community Market, our drive-in movie nights under the stars, seasonal festivals, a monthly CSA farm box, and a wedding venue where families begin new chapters. We share our shelves with dozens of local makers — soaps, candles, sauces, sweets, and art — because a strong community lifts everyone in it.

Guy & Kelly (4th Gen)

Guy (Combat Veteran) and Kelly (School Teacher) took the lead at the farm in 2025. They are deeply committed to fostering community ties, providing educational opportunities, and reducing environmental impact through carbon-neutral operations. Kelly is excited to start the JoCo Community Market to build the local community. Guy is excited to use innovative agricultural practices to bring Clean Energy, AI, and Robotics to the farm.

Ronnie & Linda (3rd Gen)

Ronnie, a farmer with a deep love for the soil, and Linda, a caring nurse, made quite the pair! Together, they breathed new life into the farm, revitalizing the land, restoring its classic barns, and planting the seeds for a bright future. They were passionate about what they did and excited to share their love of farming with everyone.
